Lynx Research Group

The Lynx Research Group Pty Ltd (Lynx) grew out of SRC (Shaw Research Consultants) established by Mike Shaw in 1987.

Lynx also trades as ALPINE RESEARCH SERVICES specialising in marketing planning and research for the ski industry and associated all year round tourism potential for Alpine areas in Australia and overseas.

The Lynx Logo comes from the shapes and proportions of Roman letters designed by Luca Pacioli and featured in his book De Divina Proportione, a mathematical treatise printed in Venice in 1509. There are copies of this edition in libraries and museums around the world, including the rare books collection of Monash University, Clayton, Victoria, Australia. Pacioli was a Franciscan friar and mathematician most famous for describing double entry bookkeeping.
